Commentary of a Weak Soul

Blurry Memories of the Past : A Narrative
My long blonde hair flowing in the air like tentacles wanting to be freed, I looked at my comrade. He didn’t have to speak. One glance and I knew what the assassin cross was asking of me. I hurriedly opened my cart and grabbed a coating bottle. I winced, seeing that I was running low of supplies. He smiled as I popped the cork clumsily and handed him the bottle. He bowed gratefully as a bright, piercing light enveloped his entire body. I watched him apprehensively as he entered a portal without looking back.
I looked around our save point. There were high priests giving buffs like there was no tomorrow. There were professors and lord knights sharing strategies. I looked behind me and there was a huge line in front of the Kunlun kafra officer. She was hurriedly grabbing potions and equipments inside the storage. I kind of felt pity for her; with all my guild members shouting at her to move faster. I couldn’t blame them because any minute now..Yes, any minute now...
There was a blinding flash and I could see my comrades huddling together. I knew it, our guildmaster was able to penetrate the initial defences of the enemy! But I didn’t have time to rejoice. It was frightening! I saw the uniforms of the group of people running towards us emblazoned with their red and black skulls. I froze. It was chaotic. My comrades started to cast magic spells and land protectors to act as our sanctuary. The lord knights moved to the frontlines, hammering away at anyone in their spear range. The assassin crosses gulping down their strengthening foods and attacking the enemy guild with stealth. The priests concentrating on supporting our comrades with every ounce of their power. What am I doing?! I had to do something! I grabbed a parasite bottle in my brown woollen purse and threw it at the tiled floor beside me. Out sprung the creature and it immediately fired leafbomb after leafbomb to unknowing foes. I smiled, pleased with myself.
But my smile turned into a look of utter horror as I saw an acid bomb fly towards my beloved parasite. I couldn’t react in time! The bomb exploded and my summon was immediately decapitated. I froze for the second time. I didn’t know what I was feeling. Pity? Fear? Animosity ?
And then a blizzard hit my already freezing body. I was thrown into a brick wall and I fell down hard on the concrete. My comrade looked at me in concern to check if I was okay. I nodded and smiled, trying to hide the intense pain I was feeling in my left leg. I tried to stand but it was no use. My left leg was definitely broken.
“Hey!” I heard a fellow guildswoman point to something behind me. I turned around and there I saw an assassin cross, daggers in his hands, walking slowly towards our guildmaster who was unaware. He was focusing all his concentration on casting an emergency call. I had to do something. I had to conquer this unnerving feeling of fear. I had to muster up the courage to save our guildmaster. I grabbed the three remaining acid bombs I brewed earlier, and limped my way towards the enemy. With tears in my eyes, I threw the bombs at the assassin cross. He didn’t even have time to react. I closed my eyes as I heard a howl of pain and an ear-shattering explosion..Everything went blank...~.??
