Crusader Job Change Quest, Deus Vult!

Due to a number of guildmates and friends who've been asking me how to go about this slightly less known job change quest (I'm quite sure a lot of people already memorize how to change into an Assassin... [-( ), I've decided to make this guide.

Ok, let's start! :D
First of all, be sure you're a swordsman that has a job level of 40 to 50. (Preferably job 50).

Done? Ok after grinding your swordsman to the appropriate job level (either manually or with help from some virtual being...), proceed to Prontera Castle. Once inside Prontera Castle, walk straight to the third room (go through 2 portals) then turn left, walk until you see a staircase, then go upstairs. (Hope you're not lost...)

STEP 1 - Item Collection

- Senior Crusader - prt_castle (45, 169)

Talk to Senior Crusader to get started. He will require you to collect some loots for him. If you are at job level 50, you can go straight to the next test. (I toldya being job level 50 is better. :) )

*NOTE: You need to have a Chivalry Emblem and a Hand of God to skip it. Don't worry, he won't take it away. /no1
If you're not job 50 and just want to be a crusader right away, he'll ask you to collect 1 out of 2 of these possible sets:

Item Collection Set 1
Decayed Nail x 10
Danggie x 10
Worn-out Prison Uniform x 10
Stinky Scale x 10

Item Collection Set 2
Lantern x 10
Horrendous Mouth x 10
Rotten Bandage x 10
Jack o' Pumpkin x 10

After you are done with him, go buy a Rosary from Prontera Church and then head down to the Prontera Castle Basement to start the next test.

STEP 2 - Patience Test

Now, to get to the next NPC in the Basement of Prontera Castle, from the entrance of the castle, turn right, walk until you see a staircase then go downstairs.

- Man in Anguish

Ok, now this is where most people who don't read the NPC's instructions fail. Talk to the NPC named Man in Anguish. You will need a Non-Slotted Rosary to show to him before he can warp you to the test room (for the first time you have to be wearing it). You can buy it in the Prontera Church (top right corner of Prontera) for 15,000z. (You would have saved yourself the trouble if you already bought one like I told you in STEP 1.)

Like I said, most people fail this the first time around because they don't read what the NPC tells them they should do and start killing the monsters they see. In this test, you only need to use Endure and walk to the other side of the room. Do not hit any of the monsters in the room, you will fail as soon as you kill any of the monsters. (Be sure to bring pots if you think you can't handle the damage incurred by the monsters.)

When you get warped out, talk to the Man in Anguish again for his confirmation of passing the test or re-test if needed. (Re-test when you start bashing a monster in this test... <_<)

After that, you must go back to talk to Senior Crusader where he will direct you to Gabriel Valentine for your next test.

STEP 3 - Knowledge Test

Okay, this test is easy, in my opinion, but most need to retry it a couple of times before passing. I once had to dictate the answers to my friend whilst he was taking the test. (He just used emoticons to signal to me what the questions were... =)) )

Answer 9 out of 10 questions correctly in order to pass the test.
If you fail the first time, you only need to answer 8 out of 10 questions correctly to pass.

There are 3 possible sets of questions. I'll edit this guide later on and post the possible list of questions.

After you pass the test, she'll ask you to go find Patron Knight for the next test.

STEP 4 - Purification Test

To find the next NPC, go to the inside of Prontera Knight's Guild. (top left corner building in Prontera)

- Patron Knight - prt_in (83, 97)

Now, in this test, all you have to do is defeat every monster in the test room. (Woohoo! Finally! /heh ) It is recommended to bring HP/SP restoratives as there are quite a number of monsters in there. There is no time limit, so take your time. If you die, you fail and have to start all over again - just this particular step, not really everything again... /heh
Once you finish the test, talk to Patron Knight for the confirmation of your passing. He will tell you to go back to the Senior Crusader to get the job change. Not long now!

FINAL STEP - Job Change

This is the moment! /ho Eww, before I start singing again, head on back to Senior Crusader in Prontera Castle. Chat with him a little, and voila! You're a Crusader! Congratulations!

He will change you into a crusader.

If you are at job level 50, you will get a Pike [4]. Otherwise, you will get a non-slotted Pike.

The rewards used to be White Pots. I'm not really sure what it is now, but I'll try to confirm it soon.
