Level Requirement: Base Level 60 and above
1. Look for the Busy Boy NPC (or ram into him while you're walking) at (prontera 248, 212) to trigger a conversation.
Choose Help him pile the books and ask Are these all yours? You'll be asked to deliver the books in Juno. Select Help him to get the Pile of books to be delivered.
2. Go to Juno and look for the Historian NPC at (yuno 311 195). Talk to him and ask Are you alright? You'll find out he's mad because of the delayed delivery of his books. Now ask Excuse me, but what's your name? He'll introduce himself as Karlomoff, the 1st scholar of the Rekenber Historical Research Group then choose Right, I brought your books.
Afterwards, he will said something about the other historians studying Rune Midgarts Kingdom's history. Select the Rekenber Historical Research Group option and he'll reveal something about the royal families. Select Several royal families? during the conversation and after sometime, he'll sing an ancient song related to the said myth.
You'll be then asked to deliver a File Folder to Rodafarian in Morroc. (Talk to Karlomoff again if you want to see the lyrics of the song)
3. Proceed to Morroc and go inside the building at (morocc 198 63) and look for Historian Rodafrian (as you enter the building, go up the stairs and proceed to the room on the far left).
Talk to Rodafrian and select Mr. Karlomoff has sent me. You'll hand over the File Folder to Rodafrian. Now Ask her about her research. Afterwards, she will also sing the ancient song but cannot remember the last line. She will ask if you heard the song. Choose either Yes, I have or Yes, but it's different.
NOTE: If you choose Yes, I have, you only need to input the 3rd or the 4th line of the song (you can input anything >.< ). If you choose Yes, but it's different, you have to input all the lines that you've heard from Karlomoff. I do not know what will happen if you choose No, I dont but I think, whatever you choose among the three, you can still continue the quest.
Talk to Rodafrian again and she will ask your name and a favor to find Mondo in Mount Mjolnir to verify the song.
4. Look for Historian Mondo at (mjolnir_01 135 168) [2nd field map north of Geffen] and ask for the lyrics of the song.
Historian Mondo's lyrics will be:
Since the version you heard from Karlomoff is different, you will be confused and will reply ...........? and Excuse me... Mondo will then ask you to recite the lyrics that you've heard from the beginning.
1st line: The great serpent swallowed the sea.
2nd line: The eagle of the rainbow swallowed the serpent.
3rd line: Then the eagle built its nest.
4th line: A nest upon the swallowed sea.
Mondo will then tell you that your lyrics is probably much more authentic since you heard it from Karlomoff while the lyrics he heard is from a little kid singing by the river.

5. Go look for the Dazed Boy (or Absent-Minded Boy) NPC at (mjolnir_01 313 269) [as you go up in this area, you will hear him singing the song, an indication that you are already near him]. Talk to the Dazed Boy and he will sing the lyrics of the song but the Exhausted-Looking Woman (mjolnir_01 316 268) will ask him to stop.
Choose What did you just sing? in the option menu. He will ignore you and will continue talking to the dog. You'll find out later that the boy's name is Kaanu. Choose Why are you here? and she'll tell you about an Accident. She will then asked you to deliver some herbs to Father Bamph at the Prontera Church.
6. Look for Father Bamph inside the Prontera Church (go to the farthest right room inside the church, just to left of the Nun NPC who sells acolyte-related equipments).
Talk to Father Bamph and choose Give him the herb pouch. You will find out that the Exhausted-Looking Woman's name is Bonnie Imbullea and his co-priest, Father Biscuss is livid with her. Now Ask about Bonnie Imbullea. They will tell you about the curse of Jormungand and the accident which happens to involve Bonnie Imbullea.
In the Gaebolg family, every first born prince dies at a young age. King Tristram ordered an exorcism in order to save the first prince and Bonnie Imbullea is the one chosen to perform the exorcism. However, the exorcism failed and all three princes died bearing strange snake scale marks on their bodies. You will now relate the version of the song you heard from Kaanu, Bonnie Imbullea's son to Father Bamph. You will be then asked to speak once again to Bonnie Imbullea to find out the connection between the curse and the song and anything that happened after the exorcism failed.
7. Return to Bonnie Imbullea and talk to her once more to get some information about the failed exorcism.
8. Go back once again to Father Bamph and relay the information Bonnie Imbullea has told you. You will be asked to come at the secret ceremonial grounds to investigate the bodies of the princes through the bookshelf to your left.
9. Talk once again to Father Bamph inside the ceremonial grounds and he'll ask you to investigate the bodies from left to right.
10. As you examine the bodies of the princes, you'll find out that there's a difference in darkness and coloration of their marks. Father Bamph will speculate that the second and the third princes might have been murdered. He will ask you what might have killed them. Choose Poison! and Father Bamph will suggest to go the experts when it comes to poison - the Assassin Guild in Morroc.
Return upstairs to continue your conversation with Father Bamph and will ask you to go to the Assassin Guild to verify if poison is used to kill the princes.
11. Go talk to the Assassin Guildsman NPC at (moc_fild16 201 295) just outside the Assassin Guild building [from Morroc City -> down -> right -> right -> right]. Choose Poison and he'll tell you to find Marjana inside the Assassin Private Pub.
12. Look for Marjana inside the Assassin Private Pub at Morroc 8 o'clock (morocc 43 108) direction [go inside the Pub, enter the room that Litheron is guarding and enter another room to the left of Tao and you'll find Marjana there] and she'll tell you anything about poisons and how to detect if poison is used using a yellow gemstone and a green potion.
NOTE:
If you do not have your Letter of Recommendation yet from the Dandelion's Request Quest, you have to pay Jack 1,000 zenny for you to enter the Pub.
If you haven't talked to the Bar Master yet about the Mission concerning the Letter of Recommendation, you have to buy Litheron a drink for you to enter the inner room.
For those who are in the middle or has already finished the Dandelion's Request, you can enter the Pub freely without paying anything.
13. Just go outside the Pub to trigger a review of the facts that you've gathered so far during the investigation. You have to choose whether to Go to Rodafrian or Go to Father Bamph first.
A. Go to Rodafrian first:
a1. Go back to Rodafrian and tell her the lyrics that you've heard from Mondo. There are 2 choices in this part:
a1.1 Tell her about Jormungand's curse
a1.2 Don't tell her
a1.1 Tell her about Jormungand's curse
a1.1.1 She will tell you about poison experts living in some strange land located to the west.
a1.1.2 Go back to Father Bamph and you will relay all the information you've gathered about poison and the method to test it. He will then ask you to bring the said items (1 Yellow Gemstone and 1 Green Potion) to the secret ceremonial grounds.
a1.1.3 Once at the ceremonial grounds, talk to Father Bamph again and you'll be asked to test the third prince's body.
After testing the third prince's body, it is now confirmed that poison is used to kill them. Talk to Father Bamph again and he'll ask you to continue your conversation upstairs.
a1.1.4 Talk to Father Bamph upstairs and he'll ask you not to reveal anything that has transpired.
a1.1.5 Talk to Father Biscuss and he'll thank you for your help. [QUEST FIN]
a1.2 Don't tell her
a1.2.1 Rodafrian will be thankful for your help in getting the lyrics.
a1.2.2 Go back to Father Bapmh and you will relay all the information you've gathered about poison and the method to test it. He will then ask you to bring the said items (1 Yellow Gemstone and 1 Green Potion) to the secret ceremonial grounds.
a1.2.3 Once at the ceremonial grounds, talk to Father Bamph again and you'll be asked to test the third prince's body.
After testing the third prince's body, it is now confirmed that poison is used to kill them. Talk to Father Bamph again and he'll ask you to continue your conversation upstairs.
a1.2.4 Once upstairs, Father Bamph and Father Biscuss will discuss on how to tell the royal family about this information. Father Bamph will also ask you to visit once again Bonnie Imbullea and tell her that what happened to the princes is not her fault. He will also ask you not to let the public know what has transpired and will thank you for your help.
a1.2.5 Visit Bonnie Imbullea once again and tell her that the deaths of the princes were not her fault. [QUEST FIN]
B. Go to Father Bamph first:
b1. Go back to Father Bamph first and you will relay all the information you've gathered so far about poison and the method to test it. He will then ask you to bring the said items (1 Yellow Gemstone and 1 Green Potion) to the secret ceremonial grounds.
b2. Once at the ceremonial grounds, talk to Father Bamph again and you'll be asked to test the third prince's body.
After testing the third prince's body, it is now confirmed that poison is used to kill them. Talk to Father Bamph again and he'll ask you to continue your conversation upstairs.
b3. Once upstairs, Father Bamph and Father Biscuss will discuss on how to tell the royal family about this information. Father Bamph will also ask you to visit once again Bonnie Imbullea and tell her that what happened to the princes is not her fault. He will also ask you not to let the public know what has transpired and will thank you for your help
b4. Visit Bonnie Imbullea once again and tell her that the deaths of the princes were not her fault. You can now go back to Rodafrian in Morroc.
b5. Go back to Rodafrian and you'll tell her the lyrics that you've heard from Mondo. There are 2 choices in this part:
b5.1 Tell her about Jormungand's curse
b5.2 Don't tell her
b5.1 Tell her about Jormungand's curse
b5.1.1 She will tell you about the poison experts living in some strange land located to the west. Go back to Father Bamph afterwards.
b5.1.2 Talk to Father Bamph again to reveal the information given to you by Rodafrian about the Land to the west.
Afterwards, he will ask you not to visit the ceremonial grounds any longer and will thank you for your offered help. [QUEST FIN]
b5.2 Don't tell her
b5.2.1 Rodafrian will be thankful for all your help in getting the lyrics. [QUEST FIN]
