Einbroch Murder Quest, The Mystery of Ymir's Heart (Revised pRO version)

Items Needed:
20 Flexible Tube (dropped by Metalling)
10 Rusty Screw (dropped by Metalling/Teddy Bear)
10 Used Iron Plate (dropped by Old Stove/Remover)
100 Apple (or so) (buy from Fruit Merchant/Apple Merchant)
1. Go to room (ein_in01 264, 204) located inside the Hotel (einbroch 258, 199) and talk to the Sick Old Man.
2. Take the train to Einbech and talk to the Young Man (einbech 57, 210) just outside the train station.
3. Go find Buender Hikeman at (einbech 165, 105). He’ll mistake you as someone. Choose the following during the conversation:
- ‘What are you talking about?’
- Nothing.
- How did you survive the accident?
- I’d like to apologize.
After he finishes his ranting, he’ll say the name of “Shinokas”.
4. Shinokas is actually the Sick Old Man inside the hotel. Go talk to him again and you will have the option to ask 3 questions. Ask all of those and you won’t still get your needed information. However, ask 1 of those questions repeatedly until the new options appear. When the new set of options appear, choose Have you ever heard of Hikeman before?
He’ll finally reveal something about “the ore” so ask Did you find it? and Who are they? Afterwards, he will ask for your help to investigate. He’ll ask you to go to the Kapellthaines house first.
5. Go to the Kapellthaines’ house located at (einbroch 130, 229). As you enter the house, you’ll see an NPC named Medass. Don’t go near him or you’ll get kicked out of the house. Just walk near the wall to get through and talk to the Maid at (ein_in01 32, 133) regarding “the ore”.
6. Report back to Shinokas and he’ll ask you to investigate the Factory.
*Both maps are factory entrances.
7. Go to the Factory located at (einbroch 181, 71) or at (einbroch 132, 79) and look for the field overseer, Zelmeto Abellov at (ein_in01 67, 242). He’ll tell you about the condition of the factory workers (being understaffed and maltreated etc). Choose the following options during the conversation:
- You’re understaffed?
- I can help you.
Afterwards, he’ll ask you to inspect several damaged machinery equipments within the factory one by one. After you finished your first inspection, report back to Zelmeto and he’ll tell you which machine to be inspected next.
*BTW, do not talk to the guards in here unless you want to get kicked out of the factory. You can enter again anyways but it’s time consuming with the loading screen.
Here are the machines he wanted you to check:
a. 2nd Control Panel - (character standing at (ein_in01): 48, 231)
b. Automatic Pressure Governors - (character standing at (ein_in01): 108, 216)
c. Control Panel - (character standing at (ein_in01): 62, 257)
d. Mechanical Hand - (character standing at (ein_in01): 46, 196)
e. Pipe - (character standing at (ein_in01): 101, 266)
f. Large Conveyor - (character standing at (ein_in01): 95, 234)
8. After reporting everything, Zelmeto will ask the superintendent for a budget increase to repair the damages. Talk to Liotzburg standing outside the factory (einbroch 132, 84). He’ll refuse Zelmeto’s proposal.
9. Go back to Zelmeto and he’ll tell you about the rejected proposal. Afterwards, he’ll say that if he can get those necessary materials, he can make those repairs. The materials needed are: 20 Flexible Tubes, 10 Rusty Screw and 10 Used Iron Plate. Gather those items and when you’re ready, choose Give him Materials.
10. After giving him the materials, he’ll give you some words of encouragement and inspiration. /swt
*You’ll receive some exp in this part. I received about .2% base exp. >.<
11. Report back to Shinokas. You found out that there’s a lot of suspicious business in the factory but none of them is related to “the ore.” He’ll ask for your opinion on where they could be hiding the said ore. Choose Laboratory.
12. Go to the Research Laboratory at (einbroch 51, 52). As you enter, the security system will be activated and you have to Identify yourself. You will be given a password and you have to type it within or less than 60 seconds or you will not gain entry into the lab.
*In this part, you’ll be given random nonsense words or if you’re lucky, you can get the Dancing Queen lyrics (I think this is the shortest one). This works like the typing contest in the airship. ^_^
13. Talk to the Scientist at (ein_in 254, 35) and ask What’s wrong? He’ll tell you about the Laboratory department head slacking off flirting and gambling inside the airship. You’ll also find an Unknown Stuff inside. Check it.
14. Take the Airship (Juno-Einbroch-Lighthalzen route), go down the deck and look for the Drunken Man, Kurshenburg (airplane 31, 77). He will mention something about Ymir’s Heart. Help him win the bet so give him at least 100 Apples.
*If he still doesn’t win after giving him the apples, give him another 100 apples. There’s an apple merchant nearby. Also, he’ll take all the apples that you have in your inventory so bring only the desired quantity. I’m not sure if he’ll accept less than a hundred apples – haven’t done it and he won after I gave him the first 100 apples ^_^
15. Of course, he’ll be happy that he won so this is the time that you Ask about Ymir’s Heart. You’ll also find out that he’s the laboratory head. And of course, since he’s drunk, he’ll tell you about Ymir’s Heart.
16. Report back to Shinokas. However, as you enter his room, you discover something -- Shinokas is dying. Afterwards, he will ask you about the name of the ore that they found in Einbech. Tell him it was Ymir’s Heart. You’ll also ask who’s responsible for hurting him but he died before he can even tell.
*Heh, I bet it’s the Rekenber Corporation…
17. Go back to Buender Hikeman and Notify him of Shinokas’ Death.
*I received 2.4% base exp and 3% job in this quest. High Priest 90/57.
