Friendship Quest

This quest is very helpful especially for people who go in the Laboratory every now and then. It helps you prevent from triggering the city alerts, and the bonus exp is worth it. :P

We all know that Lighthalzen is divided into two districts. (For those of you who don't, now you know /e4 ) The right side would be the city, and the left side would be the slums. The is tight security that none shall pass between the walls diving the left and right district.

In simple terms (uncannily true, even in real life if I may add) the rich people are prevented from seeing, contacting or visiting the slums, and the poor people living the ghetto life are alienated from the rich ones.

To pass the guards, you need to talk to them over and over, until they let you pass (ehem.. more of you sneaking your way though), or they fall asleep during their duty.

Security breaches happen when too many people cross over to the two areas. It is (evidently) prohibited that rich people cross to the slums, and that poor people enter the city.

If there is an alert, you will be temporarily unable to cross in between areas, so you'd either

1) Hunt for Mobsters, or
2) Wait for the announcement that there is no longer an alert.

Then you could pass *ehem*sneak*ehem* along the two areas.

This is something you need to keep in mind while doing this quest. Now, the Friendship quest will provide you with a Pass that will allow you to freely enter, cros or visit both districts without having to pass the guards. It's like a permit to move from one place to another without triggering the security breach alert.

Talk to the Guard (267, 200) to enter the Slums.

First, you'll need to find Maku, he's outside the Pub in the slums (Lighthalzen 337, 232). Talk to him and he'll tell a short story about a rich friend he once had.

Next, visit the Lighthalzen Hotel. Head left and go up the red carpeted stairs. The place has the feel of luxurity. Now head a little downward and enter the Hotel room. You'll find Digotz and he'll spill over a short story about the two of them falling out of their relationship.

Go back to Maku and he'll ask you if you've been uptown. You'll tell him you've met Digotz. After more rants and flames, return to Digotz.

When you get to speak with Digotz and he'll ask if you've visited the ghetto. Tell him about Maku. Enraged, but still not divulging what the exact reason of their fight was, he'll ask you to deliver this message to Maku, line by line.

Hopeless bastard!
You're still a stubborn jerk!
You owe me at least 3 lunches!
Not to mention an apology!
But who cares what you think?!
I'm so goddamn happy without you!

Return to Maku and remember to key in everything exactly as Digotz mentioned.
He'll be enraged. Talk to him again and you'll lose 50% of your HP trying to calm him down.
He'll mention about a friend name Benkaistein who apparently used to help him cool down.

Go back to Digotz, he seemed to feel guilty of what he had said earlier, but then you'll tell him you've already delivered the message and that Maku got really angry.
(Feeling ko nung ginagawa ko tong quest na to gumagawa ako ng away sa pagitan nila! Hahaha.)

Talking more, he'll mention a guy named Benkaistein who was also one of their friends and was the one who'd usually mediate if Maku and Digotz are having a fight. Digotz will mention Benkaistein went to study to a place where there's "tons of books".

Next stop: Juno Library (343, 203)

Inside, look for a Passionate Student (yuno_in04 96 106). He's absorbed in reading books, it may take a while to get his attention. Once you do, tell him about Maku and Digotz. Help him find his diary (yuno_in04 168 117), return it to him and he'll request you to take the diary to Maku and Digotz.

Show the diary to Digotz and after reminiscing, he'd actually decide to pack up to reconcile with Maku.

After talking to Maku telling him Digotz will come visit and showing him the diary, he'd request for you to let him keep it. If you talk to him again, he'd actually be concerned that he thinks Digotz is a little late. (And you didn't have the heart to tell him the truth.. )

Return to the hotel to find out Digotz was badly wounded with a knife in his belly. He suspects it was the guards, they might have learned he'd be visiting the slums. You'll take out the Knife[3] after Digotz dies.

Return to Benkaistein, he'll award you with a Pass that'll allow you to move freely between the districts. (Naisip nyo ba sana binigay nalang niya to kanina para hindi nalang nadedo si Digotz.. Haha) He'll also reward you with 700k exp.*

* At Level 95 I got an additional 2% exp.
