I'm Jed aka .SubZero., a pRO gamer and one of Roughneck's Guildmasters. I'm writing this message today to inform you that we have disbanded the guild last March 29, 2008.
I know this news will come as a disappointment to many RN members and some friends of the guild, and I’d like to take a few moments to explain the reasons behind our decision.
We created Roughnecks with the mission of bonding a few neutral guilds on our mother server Chaos. Roughnecks began as F.E.B. (Finest / Exitialis / Barbarians). And we knew there will be a time it might end. Our numbers grew when the guild was formed and our strength was challenged by tough guilds on our server. In many ways, the merging did succeed, beyond our own initial expectations. Roughnecks became popular very quickly. Offers of making extensions lined-up, but only the Scythe Guild was granted to make one. We helped gain exposure for some talented players. Due to the wipeout almost 2/3rd of our members lost interest in the game. We were in a pinch, fortunately the guild managed to survive and was able to reach RPC 2007.
So why are we disbanding? Well, the short answer is that the continued operation of Roughnecks is very expensive that requires an enormous amount of attention and resources that we are not in a position anymore to continue to provide. There are a lot of other details involved, but at the end of the day it’s really as simple as that.
For our friends and members, I'd like to say that we tried really hard to find a way to keep Roughnecks alive. We made the hard decision to turn the lights off and cease operation of the guild.
So that’s where we are today. After March 29, 2008, Roughnecks will cease to exist.
It’s been a wild ride, and none of it would have been possible without the support of our members and friends. Thank you for making Roughnecks everything that it was...

It has been a great pleasure
It has been a great pleasure of fighting alongside with you guys from RPC2007.
Many have already said goodbye to our beloved game but found new home in another game as well ^__^. Come join us in Perfect World :P hihhihi (dragon server) XD~ anyways kita kits n lang po sa RPC2008 sa WTC kung cnu man ang lalaban doon :) woot :)
